No benchmark result is reported in this protocol release. The current sample size is zero. Results will be added only after the stated collection process is completed and the underlying records pass review.

We publish results only with a baseline, a date range, and the client’s approval.

03 · Method

How the data will be collected.

Define the eligible population before collecting measurements: active, public United States dental-practice websites with a working home page and at least one patient-service page.
Create a reproducible sample list and retain the URL, practice type, market, test date, test region, device profile, and tool version for every observation.
Run mobile lab tests on the home page and one representative service page under the same network and device settings. Keep raw reports rather than transcribing scores by hand.
Report distributions and sample counts for each metric. Use medians and interquartile ranges; do not turn a lab score into a claim about appointments or revenue.
Publish the sampling file, collection window, failed-test log, calculation code, and revision notes with the first results release.

04 · What is measured

Every measure, defined.

Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): Lab-measured seconds until the largest rendered content element completes.
Interaction to Next Paint proxy: The interaction-responsiveness measure available in the recorded tool version; tool and version will be disclosed.
Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS): The recorded lab layout-instability score.
Total transfer size: Bytes transferred for the tested page in the controlled run.
Accessibility checks: Automated checks passed and failed; this is not a complete WCAG conformance audit.

05 · Exclusions and limits

What is left out, and what it cannot say.

Exclusions

Websites that block the test runner or require authentication
Temporary landing pages, parked domains, and sites returning persistent errors
Duplicate domains or franchise templates sampled more than once unless stratification calls for them
Runs affected by a documented tool outage or incomplete page load

Limitations

Controlled lab measurements do not represent every patient device, network, or real-user experience.
Automated accessibility checks detect only part of the WCAG criteria and require manual follow-up.
A website-performance association does not establish a causal effect on leads, bookings, or revenue.
Until data is collected, this page is a protocol and must not be cited as a performance benchmark result.
